Royal Pottery House of God Ministries
Royal Pottery House of God Ministries, established in April 2011 under the leadership of Rev. Rebecca Davids Bainda, was founded to bring people closer to God through preaching, teaching, prayer, worship, and community outreach.
As the ministry served the community, it recognized the growing need for quality education for children. In response, it established a free school during its first year, giving children the opportunity to learn regardless of their families’ financial situation. Due to the challenges of sustaining a free school, modest fees were later introduced to support teachers and basic operations.
The ministry also created an open scholarship program for academically strong students, with those achieving an average of 88.5% or higher eligible for support. This initiative eventually developed into Second Chance Christian Academy (SCCA).
Today, the church and school share a vision of transforming lives through faith, education, discipline, and opportunity. While the ministry focuses on spiritual growth, SCCA seeks to develop students academically, morally, socially, and spiritually, preparing them to become responsible future leaders of Liberia.
Royal Pottery House of God Ministries continues its weekly programs, including choir practice, Bible study, prayer meetings, Sunday school, and worship services. The ministry and Second Chance Christian Academy also welcome individuals, churches, organizations, educational institutions, and development partners who share their vision of empowering children and communities.
In short: What began in 2011 as a ministry focused on bringing people closer to God grew into an educational mission that gave birth to Second Chance Christian Academy, providing children with faith, education, and a second chance to reach their God-given potential.
